Lucinda Eveline Woodside

Lucinda Eveline, the youngest child of John Morrow Woodside and Lucinda Eveline Pettit, was born December 25, 1860, in Illinois, according to the 1900 U.S. census. Having had the actual day listed on the census is very unusual. Normally there is only a month and year. She appears to have been named after her mother.

On September 28, 1882, Lucinda was united in marriage with Robert Henry Warnock in Perry County, Illinois. The information on the "Return of a Marriage to County Clerk" states Robert was a farmer residing at Preston, Randolph Co., 27 years of age, born in Ireland to James Warnock and Catharine Hart. They were "married at bride's mother's near Swanwick in the County of Perry". Witnesses to the marriage were Wm. S. Woodside and Joseph T. Craig. The minister was James C. Elliott.

Lucinda and Robert had one known child, a daughter named Ida Mae born November 27, 1880. Ida Mae married on August 20, 1902 in Randolph County to Robert S. Adams. Ida Mae and Robert had 4 children I am aware of, all born in Randolph County:
  • Mabel H., a daughter, born abt. 1903
  • Myron P., a son, born abt. 1905
  • Carolyn E., a daughter, born abt. 1907
  • Carl, a son, born 1916
Lucinda Eveline Warnock is believed to have died March 31, 1901 in Randolph County.
