My great, great, great grandfather was Robert H. Woodside, son of Samuel Cunningham Woodside and Jane/Jennet (Morrow?). He was born February 7, 1772 in Chester County, South Carolina, the second of eleven known children.

After moving to Kentucky, he married Ann Hill (1779-1842) on July 4, 1799 at Caldwell, Livingston County. Robert moved his family from Kentucky to Perry County, Illinois in 1829.

They had eleven children:

  • Mary Jane, born January 24, 1802 in Kentucky, died October 27, 1849 in Perry County, Illinois; married William Armstrong
  • Jinny, born February 9, 1804 in Kentucky, died November 23, 1873 in Perry County, Illinois; married Thomas Washington Armstrong
  • Elizabeth, born April 4, 1806 in Kentucky, died April 10, 1834 in Perry County, Illinois; married Abner Newton Milligan
  • Samuel, born March 16, 1808 and died April 5, 1809 in Kentucky
  • Agnes, born February 2, 1810 in Kentucky, died February 10, 1849 in Perry County, Illinois; married John Steele
  • John Morrow (my great great grandfather), born July 6, 1812 in Kentucky, died January 26, 1880 in Perry County, Illinois; married Lucinda Eveline Pettit
  • Margaret Ann, born December 21, 1814 in Kentucky, died before December 1840 in Perry County, Illinois; married James Steele Wilson
  • Martha Caroline, born May 23, 1817 in Kentucky, death date unknown; married Joseph G. McKee in Perry County, Illinois

  • Ephraim Milton, born September 14, 1823 in Kentucky, died March 19, 1873 in Bond County, Illinois; married first Louisa L. Beard, married second Mary Jane Maxwell
Robert died December 8, 1846 in Perry County, Illinois. I do not know where he is buried. If someone reading this knows what cemetery he and his wife are in I would very much appreciate your contacting me.
